KINDY KIDS
A School Readiness Program for those starting big school
in 2025.
Kindy Kids offers those children starting big school next year, the chance to take part in sports lesson which focus on developing and consolidating the necessary social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills required as they start their formal schooling.
Kindy Kids will develop age appropriate learning concepts and expectations such as:
- Listening skills and the ability to follow directions.
- Social skills – turn taking, cooperation, teamwork.
- Positive self-esteem and confidence.
- Resilience and a growth mindset.
- Number, sequence and counting skills.
Lessons will have a strong emphasis on team games and sportsmanship, as well as the notions of winning and losing, which will help your child navigate the playground at big school.
Children participate in the lessons on their own to encourage independence and confidence. Children will be collected by their teacher at the start of the lesson and returned at the end.

KINDY KIDS
Classes run for 50 minutes and include a 10 minute parent support worksheet session at the end.
WHAT SHOULD MY KINDY KID BRING?
Please ensure your child has water each week. Your child will need to bring along a healthy snack each week – fruit, vegetables, rice cakes etc.

We are hoping to run Kindy Kids classes in the following timeslots:
Monday 11.00am – NUMBERS DEPENDANT
Wednesday 9.30am – CONFIRMED
Friday 9.30am – CONFIRMED

No lessons Monday 29th July, Tuesday 30th July, Wednesday 31st July or Friday 9th August

KINDY KONNECT - January Holiday Play Sessions
Holiday sessions designed to settle nerves, develop skills and connect children starting at the same school.
Kindy Konnect offers those children starting big school, the chance to spend the morning playing together in fun group activities and team building games with the aim of fostering confidence, resilience, new friendships and communication skills in preparation for the big first day.
Kindy Konnect will develop school readiness expectations such as:
- Listening skills and the ability to follow directions.
- Social skills – turn taking, cooperation, teamwork.
- Positive self-esteem and confidence.
- Resilience and a growth mindset.

What to bring: Recess and lunch as well as plenty of water in a back pack.
What to wear: Running shoes and clothes which allow freedom of movement.
