KINDY KIDS
A School Readiness Program
for those starting big school in 2027.
Kindy Kids offers those children starting big school next year, the chance to take part in sports lesson which focus on developing and consolidating the necessary social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills required as they start their formal schooling.
Kindy Kids will develop age appropriate learning concepts and expectations such as:
- Listening skills and the ability to follow directions.
- Social skills – turn taking, cooperation, teamwork.
- Positive self-esteem and confidence.
- Resilience and a growth mindset.
- Number, sequence and counting skills.
Lessons will have a strong emphasis on team games and sportsmanship, as well as the notions of winning and losing, which will help your child navigate the playground at big school.
Children participate in the lessons on their own to encourage independence and confidence. Children will be collected by their teacher at the start of the lesson and returned at the end.
KINDY KIDS
Classes run for 50 minutes and include a 10 minute parent support worksheet session at the end.
WHO: Any child starting big school in 2027.
WHEN: Term 3 dates Monday 27th July – Friday 25th September Due to stadium unavailability, there are no lesson on the following dates in term 3:
- Thursday 30th July
- Thursday 20th August
- Wednesday 2nd September
- Tuesday 8th September
- Wednesday 9th September
CLASS TIME:
Tuesday 10.30am – 11.30am
Thursday 10.30am – 11.30am
Friday 10.30am – 11.30am
*taking names for Monday and Wednesday classes – please fill in the booking form and express those days if they suit you best!*
WHERE: Port Macquarie Indoor Stadium
HOW MUCH?: Given there are a variety of dates that the stadium is unavailable, the term fee for Kindy Kids will vary depending on what day of the week your child attends:
Monday classes – $178.95
Tuesday classes – $159.05
Wednesday classes – $139.20
Thursday classes – $ 139.20
Friday classes – $ 178.9
